ISLAMABAD: Robbers and burglars have struck at six places and made off with cash and valuables, police stated here on Monday.

Some burglars broke into the house of Rais Ahmed in G-7/4 and stole cash and valuables. They also broke into the house of victim’s neighbour and looted valuables.

In another incident thieves took away valuables, including mobile from the vehicle of Sulaman Tariq, parked at I-8 Markaz, the police stated.

Furthermore, auto-thieves lifted a motorcycle of Shahbaz Ali from the parking area of a market in G-7, Nabi Buksh’s from the parking area of OPF, Ahmed Zia’s from outside of his house at F-11/3, the police stated.

Meanwhile, the capital police have arrested 11 outlaws including eight gamblers and recovered stake money, snatched mobile phone and cash and weapons from their possession, police said.

According to details, the Secretariat police raided the gambling den and arrested eight gamblers red handed besides recovery of stake money Rs8,060 from them, the police stated, adding that the Kohsar police arrested a man over his alleged involvement in theft and cash and mobile phone from him.

The Bani Gala police arrested two persons separately and recovered a 30-bore pistol each along with ammunition from their possession, they stated, adding that separate cases were registered against these persons and further investigations were in progress.
