KARACHI, Aug 23: Sindh governor Dr Ishratul Ibad on Saturday ordered to hold the balloting for the remaining plots of the New Malir Housing Scheme on August 28, and warned that no further delay would be tolerated in that regard.
Presiding over a meeting held to review the scheme at the governor’s house, he directed to organise the balloting in a transparent manner at the project site.
He stressed physical possession of the plots to successful applicants within the next two months after the balloting and timely measures for availability of water, electricity, roads and other basic facilities.
The governor took serious notice of the delay in various housing and other projects and directed the officials concerned to revive the housing projects of overseas Pakistanis, the Hawkesbay scheme and cottage industry projects of Landhi, Korangi, Malir etc. He said pending of those project for years was regretful and could not continue.
The governor directed that with the receiving of the payment of plot, the applicant should be informed about his plot number, and all related facilities should be ensured in the given period.—PPI
