LAHORE, Aug 22: The Lahore High Court was urged on Friday to order the recovery of the cost incurred on all National Assembly sessions summoned since November, 2002, from President Gen Pervez Musharraf and MPs.

Petitioner M D Tahir alleged that the president and the MPs had created a controversy over the LFO due to which the functioning of the NA had been suffering, as no real legislation had so far been made.

He submitted that the whole nation was at a loss to understand why Gen Musharraf was reluctant to shed his uniform and the MPs changed their stance on the LFO every day.

He requested the court to direct Gen Musharraf to disclose in public the benefits of holding both the offices of president and COAS.

He requested the court to recover the cost of NA sessions from the president and the MPs regarding the TA/DA and other related allowances, as all these expenses had been incurred out of public money without any productive results.
