Three injured in Hyderabad blast

HYDERABAD, Aug 22: Three persons were injured when a low- intensity bomb exploded outside a hotel near the SRTC depot in the GOR police station jurisdiction here on Friday night.

The blast created a four to six inch crater.

Those injured, Arshad, son of Abdul Ghaffar Odh; Shaukat, son of Deen Mohammad; and Abdul Sattar, son of Allah Deen, were taken to the Hyderabad Civil Hospital.

District Nazim Dr Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman, Regional Police Officer Ghulam Mohammad Malkani, DPO A. D. Khwaja and other officials rushed to the hospital.

Commenting on the blast, the RPO said it was a terrorist act and added the bomb was locally made and fitted with a timer.

The RPO said everything could not be disclosed and claimed that the situation in Hyderabad was peaceful.
