JEDDAH, Aug 21: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali Thursday said he looked forward to discuss the latest situation in South Asia, Middle East and the region, during his talks with Saudi leaders.

In a statement, issued after his arrival here, Prime Minister Jamali said: “The two countries will continue to work with each other to reinforce regional peace, security and stability.”

He said: “Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share common perceptions on all issues of mutual concern.” The visit, he said, will provide an opportunity to him to apprise the “brotherly leadership” of Saudi Arabia with the developments in South Asia.

Jamali said: “We are all gratified that Saudi Arabia consistently supports Pakistan in its quest for peace and security in South Asia.”

He noted: “We are also grateful to the Kingdom and its leadership for their support to the Kashmiri people for attainment of their inalienable rights.”

The two countries, he said, will also review the situation in this part of the world, as well as steps to reinforce relations between the two countries in “all fields.”

Prime Minister Jamali terming the visit as part of a “process of consultations” said he looked forward to “fruitful discussions” with King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz.—APP
