KARACHI: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced names of 14 umpires who will supervise matches in the international Nishan-i-Haider 9ners hockey tournament which begins at the Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium on Wednesday.

They include Sohail Janjua, Atif Malik, Waqar Butt, A. Mannan, A. Wali, Amir Hamza, Fahad Khan, Irfan Dhot, Waqas Butt, Shahid Pervaiz, Yasir Khursheed, Munir Ahmed, Chaudhry Anwar Hussain and Mahmood Ali.

Karachi’s Mohsin Ali Khan has been appointed umpires manager. He will be assisted by Mrs Razia Rizvi and Chaudhary Munawwar Hussain.

The panel of 13 tournament officials and judges comprised of M. Shafiq Bhatti, Allah Dad, Aijaz Khokhar, Tariq Khan, A. Rasool Janwari, Ahsan, Mohammad Rauf, Anees Kiyani, Haroon Saeed, Mian Farooq, Mohammad Naseer, Mubashir Chaudhary and Shahzaib Pervaiz.

The PHF has already named former Olympian

Qamar Ibrahim as tournament director and former Olympian Kamran Ashraf as tournament secretary.
