REFERENCE Moniza Inam’s article, ‘Gathering the creative nomads’ (Eos, Sept 24). Khanabadosh Writers’ Cafe is a unique and historic initiative by a group of women activists led by Amar Sindhu.

Addressing the very core notion of shared public space and reviving the autaq concept in a modern era by an academic-cum-activist, the cafe serves as a platform for social change through cultural and literary activities.

Despite many difficulties, Khanabadosh is making all-out efforts to organise events where like-minded people meet for cerebral discourse. Such healthy initiatives guarantee a better future for our society if it is to thrive intellectually.

I would like to thank Amar Sindhu and the advisory board of the Cafe for running a non-profit organisation, besides the writer for brilliant coverage.
