These 5 tips will help improve your selfie-taking skills

Everyone's on a selfie craze these days! Here's a quick guide to get yours on point

Think your selfie-taking skills need a quick brush up?

Here are five things to keep in mind if you want to take the perfect selfie.

Blow dried hair

Yes, we know what you must be thinking – “blow-dried hair? Seriously?”

Fact is, 50% of an awesome selfie is based on how your hair looks like.

While blow-drying may not be a strict option for everyone, whether your hair is curly, straight or wavy, make sure they are styled properly. Greasy and unruly hair will never make your selfie stand out.

Bright lipstick

We are all for the natural look but bright lips take on a life of their own when it comes to selfies. Get the brightest pinks and the reds out if you want your selfie game strong!

Pro tip: These colours also make your teeth look whiter, so yet another reason to ditch the neutrals and reach for the red.

Good lighting

This is a given because if you can’t find good lighting, the selfie is going to appear very bland.

Try to find a spot with plenty of light and make sure to stand against the light; this will give your selfies a pleasing glow.

The right phone

This one is a no-brainer.

A good option is the OPPO F3 dual selfie camera phone, which comes with a 16-megapixel camera for individual selfies, and an 8-megapixel double view wide-angle camera that lets you take group selfies. It also offers 'the Bokeh effect' with which you can take selfies with a blurry background even in low-light conditions.

A signature pose

A good pose is bound to catch attention and make your selfies stand out.

Try snapping a few selfies keeping these tips in mind and you may be surprised with the results. Happy clicking!

This advertisement is catering to the vanity of youngsters, especially the women. Is this really necessary ? You are also encouraging dangerous selfies, which has killed a good number of youngsters. There is no mention or warning to avoid selfies in dangerous places
