ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Model School for Boys (IMSB), Jhang Syedan won the Wapda T12 Schools Cricket Tournament, defeating Beacon House School Systems in the final here at the Bhutto Cricket Stadium on Friday.

Batting first, Islamabad Model School set a target of 149 for Beacon House School System who were bowled out for a paltry 56. Abdul Hameed of the winning school was declared man of the match for his fine 56-run knock.

At the closing ceremony, Zarak Khan of Roots Millennium School was declared the best batsman of the tournament while Saad Azhar of Islamabad Model School for Boys Jhang Syedan and Yousuf of Islamabad Model Collage for Boys F-8/4 were declared best bowler and best fielder, respectively.

Former Test player Ali Naqvi was the chief guest of the final match and gave away the trophies.
