LAHORE, Sept 21: The Punjab Olympic Association (PbOA) has postponed the provincial Games for the third time in a row after failing to receive funds from the Sports Board Punjab (SBP) yet again, the association’s secretary Khawaja Idrees said in a press release.

Idrees blamed the Punjab Government’s ‘apathy’ for the Games not being held for the last seven years. He said the SBP had allocated Rs 6 million for the event but has failed to hand it to PbOA again.

Idrees said the SBP, instead of investing its funds on the promotion of sports, was more interested in spending it on administration.
