IGP’s powers

Published September 14, 2017

THIS is apropos the editorial ‘IGP’s powers restored’ (Sept 8).

The honourble Sindh High Court has dealt two blows maladministration in the province. It restored the National Accountability Bureau’s powers, and has also nullified the ruling party’s blatant attempt to arrogate to itself the power to muzzle the police.

The shameless ones say that they will file an appeal in the apex court. What will they do if the Supreme Court upholds the SHC decision? Will they pass a law preventing courts from hearing cases against them?
