KARACHI: City School DK Campus beat MSB School 2-0 while Aga Khan Kharadar beat Wajha Hussain System 2-0 in the sub-junior 14 category on the opening day of the 8th Girls Throwball Tournament at the City School PAF Chapter here on Tuesday

As many as 72 teams from different schools, colleges and universities are taking part in the sub-Junior under-14, Junior under-17 and Senior above-17 categories.

The tournament is being organised by the Sindh Throwball Association.

In the opening games of the Junior under-17 category matches of pool A and B, CJM Black beat Badri School 2-0, MSB School beat Happy Place School 2-0, Aga Khan Garden beat Badri School 2-0 and SMS Aga Khan Kareemabad beat Karachi Cambridge School also 2-0.

In the Senior category Pool A and B matches Cedar college beat Nixor college, 2-0 Sets 2nd. City PAF beat MSB School, 2-0 Sets 3rd. NTA beat Head start school system, 2-0 Sets.

Simon Glasson, Principal, City School PAF Chapter, was the chief guest at the opening ceremony. The PTF officials welcomed all participating teams in the opening speeches.

Maqbool Arain, secretary general of the Asian and Pakistan Throwball Federation, Mudassar Arain PNF president and coodinator City School PAF Riaz Ahmed were also present on the occasion.
