Samad Baloch bags boys U-18 title

KARACHI, Aug 17: Samad Baloch defeated Ali Abdullah in an exciting under-18 boys final of Pakistan Independence Day Juniors Tennis Championship held at NORE-1 Tennis Courts on Saturday, says a press release.

Ali Abdullah took the first set by 6-4 while Samad Baloch, a young player from Hyder-abad took second and third set by 6-1, 6-4.

Commodore Pervaiz Asghar was the chief guest on the occasion and gave away prizes.

More than 96 players of schools and colleges from Karachi, Interior Sindh and Quetta participated in this event.

Boys (singles final)

U-10: Talha Dar b Zarrukh Ali Baig 6-5, 6-0.

U-12: Mustafa Jamali bt Umer Shahid 6-2, 6-1.

U-14: Talha Dar bt Ali Asghar Bandeali 6-3, 7-5.

U-16: Yasir bt Ali Abdullah 7-5, 7-5.

U-18: Samad Baloch bt Ali Abdullah 4-6, 6-1, 6-4.

Girls (singles final):

U-18: Aamna Hameed bt Mariam Khawar Jamali 6-3, 6-0.
