Kasuri to visit Kabul on 21st

ISLAMABAD, Aug 17: Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri will embark on a one-day official visit to Afghanistan on Aug 21 for talks to consolidate bilateral relations which have been under strain because of recent border skirmishes, informed sources told Dawn on Friday.

Mr Kasuri will be going to Kabul on the invitation of his Afghan counterpart, Mr Abdullah Abdullah, to discuss and resolve outstanding issues between the two countries.

He would also hold talks with Afghan President Hamid Karzai, the sources said.
