The first day of Eidul Azha will be celebrated across Pakistan on September 2, Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee Chairman Mufti Muneebur Rehman announced saying no credible reports of the sighting of the Zilhaj moon were received on Tuesday.
The announcement was preceded by meetings of the moon-sighting committee and other zonal committees in all provincial capitals of the country.
No credible report of the sighting of the moon was reported from anywhere in the country, the central committee said.
The Islamic month of Zilhaj will now commence on August 24, whereas Eidul Azha will be celebrated across Pakistan on September 2.

Eid Mubarak from a pardesi. Do not show off and distribute maximum meat to ones who need it instead of stuffing your freezers.

Moon Sighting Committee?
The moon follows a mathematically predictable path. It is where current science says it will be. Whether you see it or not, it is there.
A little bit like truth - whether you choose to see it or not, it is there.

Before every Eid we go back to stone age, forget science, technology, astronomy, everything. We only remember Moulanas.

Eid Mubarak to my fellow Pakistanis. However how long we keep on relying on these 1500 years old Technics. Why can't we make some sort of alternate arrangements for these folks rozy roti and move towards science? It is been 50 years since human beings have stepped onto moon.

Just a thought: Would it be better at least from unity standpoint if everyone around the world celebrated Eids and Ramadhan on the same day (based on lunar calander)? Secondly, now that the science of astronomy has presumably advanced enough why can we not rely on it to predict the birth of the new moon?
