OKARA, Aug 15: A convict, who has been undergoing sentence at the Sahiwal central jail after being awarded death penalty, reconciled with the aggrieved party on Friday with a pledge to pay it Rs200,000 compensatory amount.
Manzoor Ahmad, the father of convict Hafiz Ihsanul Haq, has appealed to the philanthropists to extend financial help to them. He has asked them to contact him through Advocate Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas Tammana, Deepalpur tehsil kutchery, or on telephone number 04441-540124.
GANG-RAPE: Three men gang-raped a schoolteacher’s daughter at Attari village in Deepalpur on Friday.
Reports said the three men, identified as Kalay Khan, Muhammad Azam and Muhammad Hassan, entered the schoolteacher’s house in his absence and took his daughter to a deserted place at Attari village, Deepalpur. One of them guarded while the other two raped the girl at gunpoint.
Police have registered a case.
