PESHAWAR: Pakistan Peoples Party has set Aug 26 deadline for the completion of organisations in the districts and divisions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and directed the local presidents to send names of three people for each post so as to notify office-bearers at the earliest.

The decision was taken in a meeting of the provincial cabinet which was held at the residence of provincial president Mohammad Humayun Khan here on Tuesday. Former governor Barrister Masood Kausar, former provincial president Sardar Ali Khan, Senator Khanzada Khan and vice-president Syed Ayub Shah shared views about different issues in the meeting.

According to a statement, the participants discussed the visit of party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to Mansehra where he would address a public meeting on Aug 19.

The meeting assigned responsibilities to the party leaders to make the public meeting a success. Deputy general secretary Bahramand Tangi was assigned supervision of security and administration and Gohar Inqilabi as media coordinator. It also decided to issue show cause notices to those who had violated party discipline and took decisions regarding future strategy to be adopted for strengthening of organisational structures.

Mr Humayun urged the workers to take all possible steps for ensuring participation of maximum number of workers in the public meeting because Mr Bilawal would announce future strategy regarding next elections on the occasion. He said that PPP had been fighting for the rights and welfare of masses.

Referring to the leadership of Mr Bilawal, he claimed that workers of the rival political parties had started joining PPP due to the young leadership who had the capability to lead the nation and pay attention to the core issues.

The provincial president said that PPP would bring a real change in the fate of people because most of its disgruntled workers had rejoined the party and they would strengthen their units in respective areas.

Bannu division president Sher Azam Wazir, Malakand division president Dr Afsarul Mulk, provincial deputy secretary information Gohar Inqilabi and record secretary Shah Zulqarnain also shared views.
