PSOA holds Independence Day sports events

KARACHI: Sports events in as many as twelve disciplines were organised by Pakistan Students Olympic Association (PSOA) in connection with the Pakistan Independance Day celebrations at the Mini Sports Complex, Nazimabad here on Monday, August 14.

Sports events included throwball, netball, gymnastics, tug of war, rocball, shootingball, judo, yoga, wrestling, futsal, sepaktakraw were held on the day with hundreds of players participating in them.

Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mehar, Minister Sports, Sindh was the chief guest at the opening ceremony and declared open the day amid a colourful ceremony.

PSOA also announced that a strong Pakistan students team will participate in the World Students Olympic Games 2017 to be held in at Malaysia.

Also present on the occasion were Shazad Pervaz Bhatti, Director SSB, Maqbool Arain, President PSOA, Saleem Paracha Secretary SBA, Akhter Durrani Secretary TWA, Ume Laila Kalsoom Secretary PRF and Darakhshan of PTF.
