KARACHI: Sindh Governor Zubair Umar has assured fruit and vegetable exporters of his full support in resolving issues confronted by the horticultural sector.

Talking to a delegation of Pakistan Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Importers and Merchant Association (PFVA) headed by its Patron-in-Chief Waheed Ahmed on Tuesday, Mr Umar asked the delegation to prepare a detailed presentation for the federal commerce minister who is scheduled to visit Karachi next week.

He also asked stakeholders to invest in the sector where a huge potential of growth exists with minimum investment.

Mr Ahmed informed the governor that PFVA, in collaboration with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, has planned to organise a ‘National Conference on Horticulture’ aimed at developing a long-term strategy for the sector on firm foundations based on recommendations of all stakeholders.
