KARACHI: A two-day Independence Day sailing regatta concluded at the National Sailing Centre under the aegis of Pakistan Sailing Federation (PSAF) the other day.
The regatta attracted a large number of young sailors from different clubs who experienced practical sailing skills under strong winds.
Cdre Malik Iftikhar Ahmed, who is senior vice- president of the PSAF, gave away the prizes to the winners at a ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, the secretary of the PSAF Cdr Mohammad Akram Tariq said that Pakistani sailors had started training for the Asian Sailing Championship and the Asian Games slated next year at Jakarta.
