DADU: Three picnickers were killed and two others were injured when their vehicle overturned and fell into a ditch on the Dadu-Larkana section of the Indus Highway at Kakar town, some 40km from here, on Saturday.

Officials said that five persons were heading towards the Gorakh Hill station in a Pajero jeep and when they reached Kakar town, the fast-moving vehicle overturned. They were taken to the Civil Hospital Dadu, where doctors declared three of them dead.

They were identified as Meerdad Lohar, 50, Abdul Karim Lohar, 45, and Ghulam Qadir Lohar, 41. Amjad Ali Dayo and Bashir Lohar suffered injuries and were admitted to hospital.
