JK Rowling pays tribute to late Harry Potter actor Robert Hardy

Robert Hardy played the role of Cornelius Fudge in the Harry Potter movies

Actor Robert Hardy has passed away at the age of 91.

The late actor played the role of the Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge, in The Chamber Of Secrets, The Goblet Of Fire, The Order Of The Phoenix, and The Prisoner Of Azkaban.

According to Telegraph, a statement was released by the family which reads, "It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Hardy CBE today announced his death, following a tremendous life: a giant career in theatre, television and film spanning more than 70 years."

JK Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series, took to Twitter to pay her tribute.

Robert Hardy began his career as a stage actor in U.K. and continued dramatic acting throughout his career. He is also known for his portrayal of Winston Churchill although many will always remember him as Siegfried from the classic All Creatures Great & Small.
