HYDERABAD, Aug 12: An amount of Rs1424.034 million which was to be spent on development schemes in the district under different heads has not been re-validated by the Sindh government, this correspondent reliably learnt here on Tuesday.
Sources in the office of the EDO, finance, said Rs82.984 million was pending in the head of sugar cess. They said Rs220.268 million of the Annual Development Programme, Rs115.932 million of the Hyderabad Development Package, Rs988.424 million of the Khushhal Pakistan Programme and transition funds of Rs16.426 million also needed to be released by the Sindh government.
The sources said ADP funds were never re-validated as claimed by some district government officials.
District finance department officials have moved the Sindh finance department for re-validation of the amount but the same has not been released.
COMPLAINT: The DPO of Mithi has complained to Sindh High Court officials through letters against the district judicial magistrate for dismissing a case against five taluka municipal administration officials.
The case against the TMA officials was registered after Sindh minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim visited Mithi on July 26 where the people complained to him about the apathy of the officials to carry out sanitary work in the city.
