SUKKUR: Enraged power consumers took to the streets and blocked traffic by staging sit-in and burning tyres on roads in Jacobabad on Wednesday in protest against 11-hour power breakdown in the city.
The protesters led by Mohammad Bux Leghari, Punhal Lashari, Bahadur Buriro and others demanded that the authorities concerned of the Sukkur Electric Power Company (Sepco) should take stern disciplinary action against the corrupt officials and line staff who were directly responsible for the prolonged power shutdown.
JUI-F to hold protest against Sepco
LARKANA: The Larkana chapter of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) announced holding a big protest on Monday after the officials of Sepco and the administration stayed away from a ‘planned meeting’ with the party leaders on Wednesday.

Sepco executive engineer Mushtaque Burdi said that the talks with the JUI-F were not agreed upon as the party was trying to portray.
Power supply restored to Thar town after a month
MITHI: The Hyderabad Electric Supply Company restored power supply to Chhachhro town after exactly a month on Wednesday evening.
