Transmitting HIV

Published July 25, 2017

I WENT to Saddar last week where I saw six men sitting on the footpath. Five of them were covered with a blanket; the sixth who was uncovered seemed to be in a daze.

I am sure they were using unsterilised syringes of heroin and probably sharing them too. Sharing needles is the easiest way for transmitting HIV. Why don’t the police arrest such people for carrying out illegal acts in full public view?

The authorities concerned should have all drug users admitted to rehabilitation centres.
