Panama questions

Published July 23, 2017

HASAN Nawaz, the elder son of Nawaz Sharif, after appearing a third time before the joint investigation team (JIT) said he had asked the JIT about the charges against him.

I think Hasan has not bothered to read the Supreme Court verdict and the objective of the JIT’s formation. The JIT was given a task to get answers to 13 questions raised by the Supreme Court judges in their judgement.

It is a simple case which the prime minister and his loyalists have been trying to complicate.

The question to which an answer has still not been given by Nawaz Sharif is: what is the source of money which was used to purchase the London apartment? Was it clean money or black which was used to purchase the flat?

I must tell Hasan there is no charge against him. He was a student when the London apartment was purchased and he was living in that apartment as a tenant, paying rent to his father. To whom was he paying the rent? Does he have the courage to tell the truth?

I fail to understand why instead of giving answers to the questions raised by the Supreme Court the Sharif family is cursing and badmouthing Imran Khan.
