KARACHI: Opener Akhtar Mohammad excelled with a dazzling innings as Innovator CC shocked Super Quality Food by six wickets in the second Anza Cup T20 cricket tournament match at the RLCA Gulberg Ground here on Wednesday.

After restricting Super Quality Food to 130-8, underdogs Innovator CC achieved a notable result in their favour in only 16 overs with Akhtar hitting up a superb 78 off 52 deliveries. The right-hander adorned his man-of-the-match knock with six sixes and as many fours.

Qadir Khan scored 17off 12 balls with the aid of three fours while all-rounder Arif Khan contributed a 4-ball 14 with two sixes.

Earlier, Super Quality Food’s innings saw Mohammad Asad make a run-a-ball 32 with two sixes and one four; Akbar hit 23 off 11 balls with one four, Rao Waqar 21 off 19 balls with two fours and Ammad Alam run-a-ball 21 with two fours.

Seamer Arif grabbed three wickets for 23 runs and slow left armer Junaid Naeem took two wickets for 13 runs.
