This just in; Actress Nimra Khan is the latest to join the cast of what could possibly be the most awaited drama of the year, Baaghi.

The actor, who was last seen in Yasir Nawaz's Mehrunisa V Lub U will be joining a star-studded cast that includes Saba Qamar, Osman Khalid Butt, Sarmad Khoosat and Ali Kazmi to name a few.

Talking to Images about how she bagged the role, Khan shares, "Well, Nina Kashif from Urdu 1 approached me for this role; she had already seen Saba and I together a few times. She thought we resembled one another so she offered the role of her younger sister to me. She's a young, impressionable girl who just wants to be pretty and famous like her sister."

She adds, "The drama takes place for a large part in a village and the cast had to copy a Punjabi accent. Luckily, my mother happens to be Kashmiri-Punjabi so the accent came naturally."

The actor, currently working another serial Alif Allah or Insan, expects the Urdu 1 serial to do well.

"This show is not fiction but actually based on a real person, everyone is familiar with Qandeel Baloch and her death was a topic of discussion. Everyone wants to know who she was and why she was killed. So I think it will be of interest to the audience and people will surely watch it," claims the Blind Love star.

No date has been given for when Baaghi will go on air but Nimra Khan hints very soon.

Few Americans have ever heard of Qandeel Baloch. She really was of little importance outside Pakistan. What made her important in Pakistan was that somehow she had the courage other Pakistanis do not have. That idea is difficult to refute in people's minds.

Good. Its easy to adapt and screen play on such issue but these artists, producers so called feminists socialists have not produced any historical play in decades. Our generation need to know history and historical icons
