KARACHI: Passing-out parade held

KARACHI, Aug 9: A passing out parade of recruits was held in the Army Air Defence Centre in Malir Cantonment on Saturday.

AAD Centre Commandant Brig Khalid Mehmood Akhtar, who was the chief guest on the occasion, witnessed the parade, took salute and awarded prizes among the recruits showing outstanding performances.

Speaking on the occasion, the commandant reminded the recruits of continuous hard work as, he said, there was no short cut to success.

It may be mentioned here that the Army Air Defence Centre was founded in 1989 and it was the 20th batch of recruits, which passed out on Saturday.

Recruit Muhammad Ishfaq was declared as the best firer, Recruit Muhammad Bilal secured the first position in physical fitness, Recruit Khadim Hussain bagged the prize for drill and turn out and Recruit Waseem Akhtar was adjudged as the over all best recruit.—APP
