Zahid Nasrullah Khan has assumed charge as the Pakistan's ambassador to Afghanistan after presenting his credentials to President Ashraf Ghani at a ceremony in Kabul today, a press release from the Pakistani embassy read.

The ceremony was followed by a courtesy call of the ambassador on the president. The Ambassador conveyed a message of goodwill on behalf of the president and prime minister of Pakistan.

Nasrullah iterated that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif shared president Ghan’s vision of regional connectivity and expressed his determination to work for the promotion of bilateral relations in all fields.
