Robbers kill two bus passengers

SHEIKHUPURA, Aug 8: Two passengers on the roof of a bus were killed and several injured in the wee hours of Friday when highwaymen opened fire at the vehicle as it broke through their blockade at Jandiala Kalsian near Narang Mandi.

Five bandits, who had blocked the road to loot vehicles, opened an indiscriminate fire on the bus (PK-3925), which was going from Lahore to Kot Nainan and was packed with passengers, many of whom were riding its roof.

Those killed have been identified as Mohammad Ufaa and Abdus Sattar, while the injured include Rasheed, Munawar, Karamat, Younas Ali, and Raza Ahmed. The culprits fled the place.

The Narang Mandi police have registered a case. — APP
