MANSEHRA: A man and his son were killed and his wife received critical injuries on Wednesday when a group fired bullets at them in their house in Torghar.

The police said the incident was an act of in honour killings.

The incident occurred in Ashari area of Judbah tehsil of Torghar when an armed group made a forced entry to the house of Said Habib and fired bullets at the people there.

Said Habib and his son, Wajib Said, died instantly, while his wife, Samina, suffered critical injuries.

The police said Samina, who had got married with Said Habib last year after elopement, had been referred to the Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad, where her condition was stated to be critical.

Wajib Said was the son of Said Habib from his first wife.

The bodies were taken to the Civil Hospital, Judbah, where they were handed over to families after postmortem.

The police lodged FIR and began raids to arrest suspects.

Also in the day, a man was killed and eight suffered critical injuries when two groups exchanged fire in Khylal area of Lower Kohistan over an old enmity.

The police said the injured people were taken to the Civil Hospital, Pattan.

Meanwhile, three people were killed in separate accidents during Eid days.
