KARACHI, Aug 8: Three ships carrying containers and high speed diesel are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where three ships, Atlantic Forest, to unload vegetable ghee, Multan to load rice and Sargodha to offload rock phosphate were berthed after the departure of six.

The ships, which departed included Hyndai Sprinter, Kota Tegap, Hammurabi, Shan Yuang Men and Mercs Komari, while Oriental Bright, Tai He and some others are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow as the total tonnage fell to 66,791 tons comprising 16,155 tons of export cargo and 50,153 tons of import.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Iwato, with containers, Bow Giovanni with chemicals and Andhika Adhidaya, with 6,200 tons of tallow.
