Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates Essa Abdullah Albasha al-Noaimi hosted a pleasant iftar dinner towards the end of Ramazan.

Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony State Minister Pir Mohammad Aminul Hasnat Shah, Additional Foreign Affairs Secretary Tasawar Khan and National Security Adviser Naseer Khan Janjua were among the senior government officials in attendance.

The event was well attended by diplomats, including the dean of the diplomatic corps, Kazakh Ambassador Bakhitbek Sharbyev.

Pakistani workers who were home from the UAE for the holidays also attended the dinner, as did other civil society members.

“Since this was one of the last iftar dinners I will be able to attend now as Ramazan ends, I am already beginning to miss the peaceful and friendly events,” said a European diplomat, adding that she had had the opportunity to attend a large number of events this Ramazan.
