A woman and her alleged paramour were tortured to death in the village of Kakepota near Tando Allahyar on Sunday, police told DawnNews.

Aman Jamali, 21, and Aijaz Ahmed Arain, 25, were strangled to death after being tortured in their house, Station House Officer (SHO) Sultanabad police station Mumtaz Ahmed Khoso said.

Suspects Talib Jamali and his son Asif Jamali surrendered themselves before the Sultanabad police and confessed to killing the two victims. They claimed that they had no remorse for the double murder.

SHO Khoso confirmed that an FIR had been registered on the complaint of assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Abdul Rehman on behalf of the state against the arrested murderers under Sections 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

He added that the bodies had been handed over their families after a post-mortem was conducted.
