Road names

Published June 25, 2017

SO far only five roads of Islamabad have been named after Pakistan Movement leaders like — Quaid-i-Azam, Liaquat Ali Khan, A.K. Fazlul Huq, Khwaja Nazimuddin and Hussain S. Suhrawardy. It is proposed that some more roads of the capital be named after leaders who belonged to the region now part of our country.

Most outstanding amongst them was Abdul Qayum Khan. Since we have now an elected mayor of Islamabad who belongs to the Muslim League, it is hoped that this proposal would be acceptable.
