TAXILA: Three employees of a company died on Saturday after their car collided head on with a trailer coming from opposite direction on Fatehjang- Tarnol road near Dhoke Hassu village.

Their other friend who was also in the car was critically injured. They were going to their native towns to celebrate Eid with their families.

Police and hospital sources said Shahzaib, Naser Ahmed, Umer Farooq and Hamyun were going to Rawalpindi in a car when a speeding trailer rammed in to their car killing Shahzaib, Naser Ahmed and Umer Farooq on the spot. However, Hamyun, who was driving the car, was shifted to Rawalpindi for being serious.

Fatehjang Police have registered a case against the trailer’s driver and started further investigation.

Separately, a student of graduation took his life by consuming wheat pills in Pindi Sultani in limits of Bassal Police station on Saturday.

Police and hospital sources said that Mohammad Ali, a student of BA exchanged hot words with his father over family dispute over which he consumed wheat pills. He was rushed to local hospital but died during treatment.

Bassal Police have registered a case and started investigation.
