KARACHI: Omar CC beat Rangoonwala CC to in the first FPS Boulevard Ramazan Cricket T20 Festival here at the Hill Park Ground on Friday.

Batting first after winning the toss, Rangoonwala CC scored 157 in the allotted 20 overs. Owais Ahmed Rehmani scored a scintillating 65 with four sixes and five fours. Zakir Malik (25) and Daniyal Rajput (24) were also notable contributors with the bat.

For Omar CC, Ashiq Ali captured three wickets, Saad Nasim and Khushdil bagged two wickets each.

In reply, Omar CC reached the target in just 18.2 overs with Khushdil scoring a brilliant 54 while Mohammad Waqas chipped in with a quickfire 38.

Khushdil was named man-of-the-match for his all-round show.

Chief guest Mohammad Rizwan, CEO Boulevard Mall, later presented a cheque of Rs 200,000 to skipper Omar CC Mohammad Waqas besides the winner’s trophy.

Also present on the occasion were head of Foundation Public School, Raza Kamal Minhas, Quetta Gladiators owner Nadeem Omar and organising secretary Murad Hussain.
