Savings scheme

Published June 24, 2017

THE next election will be won by the party which promises an increase in the rate of profit on different savings schemes. That party will get en bloc votes of millions of these certificate-holders.

People are fed up with this government’s policy of pampering rich industrialists at the cost of poor widows and pensioners by reducing the rate of profit by half on savings schemes.

People will remember this cruel policy while casting their vote in the next elections. Remember, Musharraf won the election by promising to withdraw the withholding tax.
