LAHORE: Argentina beat Pakistan 3-1 in the quarter-final of the Hockey World League at London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on Thursday.

Pakistan will now play play-offs to grab any position between five and eight.

Argentina’s Maicoa Casella scored two goals with one goal coming from a field attempt while the other was scored through a penalty stroke. Also, Argentina’s Gonzal Pelliat chipped in with one goal through a penalty corner.

Pakistan lone goal was scored by Ali Shan through a penalty corner.

In another quarter-final, Malaysia beat India 3-2.

On the other hand, South Korea overcame Scotland 6-3 in a match played for ninth place.
