KARACHI, Aug 7: Various parts of Lyari Town are inflicted with highly insanitary conditions, exposing the residents to health hazards.
The residents blame the civic authorities for failing to drain out rainwater accumulated on different roads and streets.
A visit to different localities of the Town shows that many roads are still inundated by rainwater in these areas.
Fearing breakout of any epidemic, because of prevailing conditions in parts of the Town, the residents called for an urgent cleanliness drive in the affected areas where life had become miserable.

It was observed, during the visit, that there was no visible impact of city government’s cleanliness drive in the localities, as stagnant water could not be drained out so far.
