KARACHI, Aug 7: Three persons committed suicide in separate incidents in different parts of the city on Thursday.

Police said that Ibne Amin, 16, consumed some poisonous substance at his house in Baldia Town after being scolded by his parents.

The teenager was rushed to the nearby hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.

In another incident, a young woman put an end to her life by committing suicide in Lyari.

The police said that Habiba, 25, was married to Faqir Mohammad about a month back. Following the marriage Faqir Mohammad flew to Dubai where he was employed.

However, during the period when Faqir Mohammad was away, difference between the two families emerged.

Depressed by the situation, the young girl consumed poison at her house in Baghdadi.

She was taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi where she died.

In the third incident, a young man, Munsif Khan (25) also consumed some poisonous substance in Kharadar.

He was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The police said that the victim hailed from Kashmir and was jobless for the past two years.
