PESHAWAR: Taking action against the sale and purchase of toy guns the district administration sealed 12 godowns and arrested three people at Karkhano market here on Tuesday.

The administration had already imposed section 144, banning sale and purchase of toy weapons for one month.

It was stated that a raiding party led by assistant commissioner Mohammad Mughais Sanaullah conducted raids at different places and arrested three people dealing in the illegal business.

Similarly, the raiding team sealed 12 godowns at Karkhano market and took a van loaded with the toy weapons into custody.

The officials on the occasion told mediapersons that relevant officers had been asked to check sale and purchase of toy guns and take action against those involved in the business.

They said that the ban was aimed at creating awareness among the people to keep their children away from use of such unhealthy things which could lead to hatred and cause destruction in the society.

They asked the public to extend cooperation to the administration in maintenance of law and order situation in their respective areas.
