5 reasons to treat yourself this Ramazan

A little extra shopping never hurt no one
19 Jun, 2017

Let’s face it — apart from scrumptious sehris and family iftaars, one activity that is considered a must in Ramazan is shopping for Eid.

Here are a few reasons why you should take out those savings at the back of your closet and get some extra shopping done this month.

Grab the sales!

Ramazan shopping frenzy means there are tons of choices out there, and a lot of discounts and sales too. Apart from picking up your Eid jora and all the other essentials you need with it, roam around to the casuals section as well, and see if you can sneak in some good deals on a few trendy kurtas or chappals for work.

Get your hands on some party wear

With Eid just around the corner, brands are pushing out designs and collections that are trendy, glam and perfect for the upcoming shaadi season too. (Hint, hint: Do check out the uber-gorgeous organza outfits and flaired ghararas!) If you want the right amount of bling and classy cuts for a mehendi, dholki or even a post shaadi dawat, now is the best time to stock up your closet.

Share some Eidi in advance!

Buying your favourite joras this Ramazan from Gul Ahmed Ideas can get you some advance Eidi as well!

Gul Ahmed is offering free shopping vouchers up to Rs. 3000 on the amount you spend shopping at Gul Ahmed Ideas. You can use these coupons to add something extra to your basket and multiply the eid festivities!

Share the love

Pre-Eid shopping always has a bit of nostalgia attached to it – remember those trips with all your cousins and siblings on chaand raat to get chooriyan, mehendi and more just in time for Eid? Revive those traditions and relive the excitement by making those post-iftaar shopping trips again.

Share the happiness

The true spirit of Ramazan is in giving. When you go out to shop for your Eid essentials, don’t forget to pick up a little something for those who really need it. Even a small gift from your side can light up their Eid festivities, and with the unlimited choices out there, you can get something beautiful and heartfelt without going off budget.

Splurge away this Ramazan with a festive spirit in the air!

So now the suggestion is to turn the holiest month of Ramadan - from fasting, praying and meditating/reflection - to one geared towards shopping sprees, bargain-hunting, fashion-parades and bling-bling competition among ladies?? Yes, we need new clothes for Eid and gift for kids. But it should not be the primary focus of those who have too much idle time on their hands.

Isn't it better that we just discontinued our life in a regular fashion and try to restrict our self to absolutely necessities of life and spend all the money, energy, time and efforts to connect ourselves with the only creator and seek his happiness somehow so that we won't regret of loosing these special days and nights of Ramadan in life after. Please leave Ramadan alone, at least don't make it commercial to gain third class profits...Its so thought provoking fact when we do fast and do iftar at one of luxurious cafe/restaurant which cost us just 2000-2500 per person whereas lot of people can live the whole month on this amount. The only fact we should consider before getting into this argument is "whatever we have been given in this world, we will be held accountable one day and we have to answer for every single penny" Such a disappointment to see this kind of articles

How's about spending less and donating to Edhi or SKMT or a charity to support. Lets make that the new norm instead of Lawn shopping

My daughter has committed to taking the lesson of Ramadan of thinking of those who are less fortunate into Eid and beyond. She has announced that she will not buy new clothes but recycle dresses she has worn previously on special occasions and donate what she can. She agrees that just collecting clothes is a wasteful exercise especially when we live in a country where the cost of one Eid jhora is probably what most people get by on in a month. She is 12 years old . Bless her !
