Twitter agrees that a Pakistan-India cricket match is the biggest deal ever

Twitter agrees that a Pakistan-India cricket match is the biggest deal ever

And it's not just Pakistanis and Indians who feel this way!
Updated 17 Jun, 2017

There are no other words to describe it: they played like a team possessed.

Pakistan’s astounding victory over favourites England in the Champions Trophy semi-final at Cardiff on Wednesday has taken the green shirts to their first-ever final in the 20-year history of the tournament.

The rivals have never met in the final of a 50-over global tournament and so The Oval could now be set to host the most watched cricket match of all time.

Safe to say, this is a pretty huge deal. So much so that people on Twitter can't stop talking about it.

You know its gonna be a big one when the numbers are like this...

The match is so big everyone wishes they'd cashed in earlier

It's basically a giant holiday

When authors are tweeting about it

Lala agrees, this is a pretty big deal

The anxiety is just too much for some

Some people got cocky

While others were just plain savage

You know it's the real deal when Rishi Kapoor has a Twitter meltdown

May the best team win!

Logically speaking, the order of rams is that sheep on left has to be the western country and the one on right is eastern.

While it will be one of the most watched games on the planet, we mustn't forget that the ratings weren't as high in Pakistan. In fact, twice as many Pakistanis watched the PSL final than the said matches. If, however, Pakistan wins this match, cricket will go through the roof like the IPL did after their 2007 win. PSL became a thing after Wahab's one spell and a century by Sarfaraz. This, therefore, is a billion-dollar match for cricket, if not more. PSL will get at par with the IPL, even though it is already #2, in spite of the dismal performances by the players barring a couple here or there. More franchise teams, more stadiums (or revival of older ones) and opportunities for global investors. Its a win-win. Cricket having two mega leagues worth billions with "home" players from each league not playing in the other? Only European soccer can compare with this and they have everything from Arab oil money to East Asian government embezzled money. #ImagineThePossibilities

@Rebirth PSL is already #2!! On which parameter? Australia has Big Bash which is miles ahead of PSL; please come out of this. There is nobody anyone nearby to IPL and Big Bash.

No doubt India is a better team...Pak played Eng match very well, but not sure if they deserved the chance to come to finals and leave alone be called ICC Champs..Sad to see more deserving teams like Aus not get even 1 rain free match..
