HYDERABAD, Aug 6: A campaign has been launched in atifabad to remove encroachments which are crating hurdles in disposal of rain and sewage water.

The anti-encroachment drive was started from unit-12 and even some portions of houses of union council-11 Nazim Farooq Shah and councillor Mohammad Farooq were demolished. The drive was extended to the Gharib Nawaz Bridge.

Talking to Dawn, Latifabad Taluka Nazim Abdul Jabbar Khan said removal of encroachments was necessary for disposal of water which had made the lives of the people miserable.

Anti-Encroachment Committee chairman Abdul Khaliq Abbasi appealed to the people to remove encroachments voluntarily.
