Darel blast victims identified

GILGIT, Aug 4: The Northern Areas home and information department on Monday released the names of at least 40 persons killed in Darel explosion on Saturday night.

They were identified as Haji Abdul Rauf, Shehzadi, daughter of Haji Abdur Rauf, Abdul Hadi, son of Mast Khan, Amanullah, son of Bari Bazo, Niamat, son of Hajulo, Sadoor, son of Jeel Wali, Yaqeen Shah, son of Chuna, Hanas, son of Jeel Wali, Zainul Abideen, son of Jeel Wali, Rehmat Qabool, son of Syed Qabool, Rehmat Ghani, son of Jalil, Mula Jani, son of Mujrab Khan, Syed Ghani, son of Jildar, Abdul Khalique, son of Abdullah Khan, Ghulab, son of Sagheer, Hanifullah, son of Umar Khan, Israel, son of Hazrat Safa, Hameedullah, son of Umar Khan, Gini, wife of Sahib Haque, Badshah, son of Alaf Din, Abdul Shakoor, son of Fazal, Aslam, son of Abdul Baqi, Auzur, son of Abdul Ghani, Abdul Baqi, son of Maha Jan, Imam Malik, son of Abdul Baqi, Shakoor Wali, son of Shakoor Jan, Abdul Jalil, son of Fazal Wali, Ms Sabita, wife of Rehmat Ghani, Mosa, son of Lala Khan, Raja Ghani, son of Rehmat Ghani, Izraiel, son of Daulat Khan, Rahimullah, son of Umar Khan, Raja, son of Badshah, Abdul Rehman, son of Syed Wali, Ghulam Rasheed, son of Ali Khan, Ms Muslim, wife of Ghulam Waris, Hasiba, daughter of Sahib Haque, Shafi, son of Abdul Wali, M. At least one person was still unidentifiable and three others were still missing.

The condition of five of the 33 patients, currently being treated in the DHQ hospital in Gilgit, was said to be critical.

They were identified as: Ms Asia, wife of Zafar Shah, Najma, daughter of Amanullah Khan, Abdul Kafi, son of Lajan, Janat Gul, son of Mir Mohammad and Aslam Khan, son of Sagheer.
