QUETTA: National Justice Party (NJP) chairman Malik Samandar Khan Kasi has underscored the need for solving the problems being faced by students, particularly those enrolled in the Balochistan University, through negotiations rather than holding rallies and going on hunger strikes.

Talking to media at the press club on Sunday, he said the rulers made tall claims of imposing educational emergency in Balochistan, but instead the problems of students had increased manifold.

He said it’s an irony that the students during Ramazan and in hot weather were holding rallies for the acceptance of their demands, but the government was paying no heed.

He advised the students to call off their hunger strike and rallies, and get their problems solved through negotiations.

Mr Kasi urged Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai, who is also Chancellor of the Balochistan University, to take notice of the students’ issues and provide them justice.
