Salman Khan takes over Fawad Khan's role in Raat Baaki

Salman Khan takes over Fawad Khan's role in Raat Baaki

Karan Johar's next production initially hoped to star Fawad Khan and Katrina Kaif

Fawad Khan will no longer be romancing Katrina Kaif on the silver screen. Sorry, Katrina.

The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor was expected to star in Karan Johar produced flick Raat Baaki. The film was to be the directorial debut of writer-lyricist Aditya Dhar.

With recent tension between the countries, Fawad Khan won't be working on this project. But there's another Khan taking his place.

According to a source in DNA India, "While KJo’s next directorial will be with Ranbir Kapoor, he wants to produce a film with Salman and Katrina in the lead as he finds their chemistry sizzling. Earlier, the same film was to star Pakistan actor Fawad Khan along with Katrina, but with the ban on Pakistani actors during Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, that is not happening. Hence the filmmaker was keen to rope in Salman."

Looks like Salman Khan being in the film means there are changes that need to be made to the script as the source adds, "The script is being reworked for Dabangg Khan and to make the character more suitable to him. The pre-production work on the film has begun."

Fawad Khan, who is currently shooting for Maula Jatt 2, was supposed to be in a few other Bollywood productions. The Humsafar actor had also signed on for Salman Khan's next with director Nitin Kakkar. That's another film that's likely to see a cast shake-up!

even if late.....good decision.....to not take him. Peace will prevail and no dirty politics on the movies release.

Actually I'm happy that he's not doing KJo film. Pak actors are great even when there is nearly no film industry. I think they should not do average roles in baseless movies rather they should continue their dramas and look for Pakistani cinema growth.

Huge loss for the movie and Bollywood. There is really no comparison between the two actors. Seriously, who wants to see an aging Salman Khan attempting to act, when we could have had Fawad Khan?

Karan Johar has run out of imagination and his films are getting worse with each passing year. I guess its time for him to hang up his overgrown boots.

What a big dissapointment . Fawad should stick with the drama show . He don't have what it takes to be on Silver screen.

Bollywoods loss, they know how good Pakistani actors are. Mahira Khan and Saba Qamar are latest examples and Sajal Ali is next in line.
