IT pains me to write that Balochistan, being a gas-producing province, is itself deprived of gas supply. Only a very few areas of the province benefit from this resource.

Natural gas was discovered in Sui gasfield in 1952 and by 1955 it was being supplied to various parts of Pakistan. In 1970 it was supplied to some areas of Balochistan. Till today most of Balochistan remains deprived of gas. People are forced to use firewood, but recently the government put a ban on cutting trees.

So the government needs to provide gas to all cities of Balochistan and save trees.
